A 21-year journey — from a single spark of an idea at the 2005 World Series to a patented, technology-enabled personalization platform — to make Gametime Collectibles™ synonymous with the Photo Bat.

Marcus Robinson MLB & MLB Players Association Licensing Signing Day Photo Op - Chicago White Sox Guaranteed Rate Field.
The journey begins at the 2005 White Sox vs. Astros World Series. An unofficial plastic photo bat sparked a simple question:
"What if a baseball bat could become a canvas for a photograph and a moment?"
No license. No platform. Just the idea.
"Grind today and shine tomorrow."
After years of developing the concept, Gametime reached a defining milestone: formal licensing relationships that moved the Photo Bat vision into professional baseball.

MLB Properties License Agreement — Gametime Corp. named as official licensee.

Approved bat brand names: Photo-On-A-Bat™, Selfie Bat, Poster Bat, Player Poster Bat, MLB Poster Bat, Gametime MLB Souvenir Bat.

Licensing transformed the concept from an unofficial experiment into legitimate sports merchandise. The first licensed Chicago Cubs Photo Bat marked the moment the category became real.
This was never a one-off product. Gametime expanded across players, teams, championships, and moments — proving the Photo Bat concept had broad, scalable market appeal.

The journey evolved from product design to defensible intellectual property. Gametime secured a U.S. Design Patent, cementing its position as the originator of the Photo Bat category.
